Thanks to all who wished me luck and all the best for my interview! It went really great! Well, maybe that's because I didn't put any stress on myself and just went in to have fun! I am not going into full detail about the interview and all because I am seriously really tired.
Anyways, I got there really early and happened to meet Vanessa (TK, MJ)! She just ended her interview. And I queued behind this very long queue thinking it was the right one. 10 mins later, after happily chatting with Van, I realised I was in the wrong queue! I didn't even register yet and was queuing in some queue to check my documents! Haha! But luckily, the queue I had to go to check my documents was empty! And so, I got the registration done real fast! And the people queuing behind me in the long queue apparently didn't see what they were queuing for and all followed behind me after I changed "lane"! Ok...I am too much into driving...
Thanks lots to Van for the tips and all! And for keeping me company for that time. =)
I went up to level 3, took a seat outside first as the others in the waiting room were...well, still waiting. When more people came and a group went in for the interview, we were asked to go into the waiting room. I was in group T and this group of people were really cool! It was all girls coz the guys would be in army or have already been interviewed 2 years ago. There were only 2 guys in the whole room!
My group had 9 girls. The room was absolutely quiet. Then when the SMU person walked out, this girl from my group started to break the ice, "Hey! Why not we relax and chat! It's ok to talk right?" Woah! Everyone relaxed and started chatting! And the other groups looked at us (Coz we were really very noisy!). Soon, they began to follow suit and everyone was chatting away! We got to know each other's names, application to which Uni, which JCs etc. And chat about school! It was like some JC gathering.
We were in there for about half an hour. 1130am, a SMU personnel came in and started the briefing. Absolute silence again. She briefed us and everything and told us the intake for this year (600) when 11000people applied for SMU and 6000 applying for SMU Biz and 2000 getting called for interview...I have no idea if these figures are right because Mich told me a different set of numbers last night.
My group shrunk to 8 because they moved a girl over to another group to balance the numbers. We started with the essay first while waiting for the other groups to finish their interview. The essay was quite secondary school-ish and 500 words only. After 45 mins, we read a newspaper article on scholarships, bonds and foreign talent. (March 12)
We didn't have time to discuss with one another, which I don't think anyone would be willing to. Then we went in for our interview at 1230pm. We were faced with 2 SMU Biz profs. They seemed very nice! And they made the discussion seem quite relaxing. They asked a common qns to everyone and then an open qns for discussion and conclusion for everyone! I went for the conclusion first...
Prof: Ok! We had a great discussion! I think we should do a conclusion. Why don't everyone just say something in summary! How about we start it with...Rachel!\
Me: OH YAH! Sure!! (I felt like a bimbo...)...
Well, it turned out fun actually! And I had a great time meeting new friends! Even though we didn't take each others' number. And we walked to City Hall together! (At least I didn't get lost!) It was great! Now, it's just the wait for the application results.
To those going for interviews, relax ok! Have fun and you would really enjoy and think well! ;)

I had a chat with Shuzzie and Sj about driving! Again...Yes! But it's really fun! Finally! I am going to have driving lesson tmr! 6 days of torturous waiting... = )
Btw, CDC called me just now and asked if I wanted another session tmr after my morning session. In my mind I was thinking, "FREE OR NOT?" Like duh...nothing is for free! Why would I want another lesson when I think I have booked too many in the first place? And I asked if they knew who my instructor would be tmr, she said, "Oh! It's random and we don't know yet." Ok...Fair enough. Then I asked if she knew if I would get the same instructor for the 2nd lesson as I would have for the 1st, she said, "Oh! It's random and we don't know yet." Ok...They only have that line. And so, I told her no. I thought if I was going to get the same instructor and car, then I wouldn't have to go back to the circuit! But 200mins = 3 hours 20mins of driving?! I could drive to malaysia already! Haha! And my legs would have cramped by then...And she made it sound like it's free! "I was just wondering if you would like to have another lesson after your 830am lesson." Yah! If you give it to me for free! Haha!
Anyways, I am going to have driving lesson tmr! Woots~
