I am over the moon!

SO HAPPY!!!

I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!!

I thank everyone especially all who encouraged me and have been there for me all these while!!

Special thanks goes out to my parents who have been all so encouraging, loving and willing to spend all that time and money to send me to CDC for lessons! Esp my dad who has been fetching me to most of the lessons and for the past 2 wks!\

Thanks to my colleagues who have wished me all the best and for being sarcastic as an encouragement for me to pass this test!

Thanks to the warmup instructor who calmed me and let me have a good warmup.

Thanks to the tester for not marking me down for a lot of things though I still wonder how I got those demerit points.

Thanks to SJ~ Who was there with me ever since the start of my warmup all the way till I got my licence! And thanks for helping me queue up to make my licence!

Oh ya! How can I forget!

Thanks to CI!! For being my driving instructor for 28/41 lessons! I got him 68.29% of the time that I was with CDC! :) But from today on, he isn't my instructor anymore but a friend! :) He guided me through the morning today and was following me through my test and I guess it's not something which I would have wanted. I was quite stressed with him following me. but ah...I didn't care about him. I just drove.

I called CI when I got my test route (no.3) and I was asking him which route it was and all. But I couldn't recall where it was. He made me so stressed when he added this last line before hanging up with me.

CI: Ok lah..Don't worry lah...But you better pass ah! If you don't pass, don't find me again.

Oh well..

He was still in circuit when I took my test coz his student was doing vertical parking today. I guess his student must be quite angry that he was concentrating on looking out for me rather than really teaching her.

The warmup went well. I was quite blur. Didn't know where to go. Good thing there was SJ to follow me to the warmup room. Things went pass quite fast. Did circuit and went out then came back in.

Car 199 was the car. And it had a very light steering wheel! Which I liked. And a very nice aircon blowing. Which I like.
But a higher and heavier clutch which I couldn't get used to which resulted in further stalling of the car.

When I did slope, I couldn't get the biting point and all and stalled engine a few times. Even rolled back. And I knew it was going to be the jinx of the day...

When I did Ebrake, the warmup instructor started laughing at me!! He said that when I did Ebrake, I looked very cute! (oh man...maybe that's why CI always laughed when I did Ebrake!) He suggested having a video camera like those they put on rollercoasters to capture the student's expression when they drove or did Ebrake. He even told me about some female students who came in totally heavy makeup and when they had their test, they sweat and their makeup ran, making them look like some freaking ghost! haha! He was so nice to cheer me up! :)

He left me when I ended my warmup and I went to chillout at the registration area.

9am, I went to the waiting room. Delayed here and there while the tester organised the documents etc. And another tester started to brief us. He was a very nice guy! I think if I had driven him around, I would have gotten 0 demerit points ah!! But too bad, I got a tester who didn't seem very nice. And talked quite loudly on the first word of his instruction. He didn't say much and used his hand to direct me. But good thing he did tell me at each turning and junction where exactly to go. If not, I would have made my own decisions again.

Oh well...I screwed up my slope part with rolling back 2 times and stalling the car 2 times. Acceleration and clutch. I was so worried that I would have gotten an immediate failure. I was thinking, if I didn't get pass the next time (3rd time) I was going to give up there and then. And I read at the end that if I took >5 tries, or rolled back more than 1 metre, it would have been immediate failure. I had 4 points there coz of the roll back less than 1 metre x2.

Then I thought I could just die there and fail...But he carried on the test which meant I didn't fail (yet). // parking was ok..just that I forgot to turn one more round to make the steering wheel straight. luckily he didn't deduct me on that. And he was super picky! needed me to move right into the centre of the lot! For vertical also!

S and Crank were good! :) My favourites!

Directional change was good too!

We didn't do Ebrake. Aiya...If not he would have started laughing and cheer up a bit...

We went out and there was this freaking motorbike at the exit!!!!!
I think that's where my 6 points came from! Fail to slow down when approaching road hazards!! This guy parked his motorbike there and a girl was standing there. She didnt move! And I couldn't move! It was a mini slope! The man started saying sorry but what's the use! I got 6 points!!!! (should have been from there since there weren't other road hazards I saw!)

And because of that, I couldn't bring my car all the way to the stop line and face downward, letting me have a good start o the biting point. My car stalled there...All thanks to the motorbikeeeee!!!

But nevermind. He detoured my route. Or rather re-routed my route. And it went ok!! I was so glad when we headed back for the centre!!

He didn't say anything and got me to follow him upstairs. We sat down and he started telling me what to look out for. It was darn scary! And I don't remember what he said since I was so stressed and nervous for my result! He didn't say anything about the result yet. Then he wrote the number of demerit points and circled passed and I was so relieved!!

I went downstairs and started calling people. The first I called was my parents. Then CI!

Me: Hello...(sounded darn sad) Eh...CMI lah...Cannot make it...I rolled back slope 2 times. Car stalled 2 times. Haiz...
CI: HUH?! Why like that?!
Me: Aiya...This meal...cannot treat alr lah...
CI: Oh no...Sorry...it's ok lah.
Me: ... (Actually I got...)
CI: (talks to his student to turn etc..) Eh! Don't worry...I talk to you later ok...Meet up with you later.
Me: Oh...Ok..

i called shuzzie! Yup! She was the first friend to know! Even earlier than sarah! (Coz sj was at lesson).
Then I met SJ and we went upstairs to get queue number and all...Being blur, we took the wrong forms to fill...
CI called...

CI: Where are you?
Me: Upstairs.
CI: What are you doing there?
Me: With my friend doing PDL.
CI: Ok...I come up and find you.

He came up and stood beside me. I turned to him and smiled...

Me: Where are we going to eat? :)
CI: HUH? Eh! You haven't gone to the room to register right?
Me: HUH?! What room!? Register what?!
CI: See lah! I knew you would forget!
Me: Forget what? I don't even know! (Ok...I am suppose to know. probably the tester had already told us before the test but I forgot or wasn't paying attention to that!)

And so, I went with him to the room, leaving poor sarah alone. (ok...this sentence sounds really wrong.)

He took my result slip and refused to give it back to me! And he kept scolding me!

CI: I knew you wouldn't have failed! And I was worried you didn't report back to the warmup room! And you really didn't! And I kept thinking you didn't fail lah...(and he kept hitting my head with my result slip.) I knew you would bluff me!
Me: EH! I didn't bluff you! I just told you my slope cannot make it. And i wanted to tell you I got how many points but you cut me off! Not my fault lah!
CI: Yah lah...everything my fault lah...

And he brought me to the warmup room and saw me get my GRADUATED chop!! He was freaking happy lah! Happier than me! oh well...he is going to miss the days where I bring joy and laughter to the start of his day! :)

At work, I was msg-ing him.

Me: I got licence but no triangle!!
CI: why u didn't buy?
Me: Aiya...I was too excited just now that I forgot to. Waiting for someone nice to buy/give me 1 set :D
CI: Ok...I get your hint.

but I don't want him to get! Coz i probably have 2 sets by the time I meet him!!

And so, I GOT MY LICENCE!! : )

But not driving anytime soon...Until I get my triangle. Don't want to lose the hardearned licence and take that freaking test again! Not worth the trouble.
