I'm very excited about tonight's NUSChoir concert!

Presenting Varsity Voices 2009: Musica Moderna!

Date: 21 Feb 2009
Time: 730pm
Venue: University Cultural Centre Hall, NUS

Featuring works of renowned composer of modern choral works, Eric Whitacre, as well as other contemporary takes on sacred music, NUS Choir invites you to embark on this journey with us as we unlock a treasure trove of meanings behind these gems. Allow us to show you brilliantly woven tapestries of love, spirituality and nature that were created during this age. So embrace the experience and allow the music to inspire you with fresh perspectives of life.

How and Where to get tickets:

Concert tickets are priced at $15 (excluding $1 SISTIC booking fee). Schools are eligible to purchase tickets under either schemes.

1. Current promotion of early bird sales valid only till 8 Feb 2009. Tickets are at $12 (excluding $1 SISTIC booking fee) Get your tickets now at SISTIC or from any Choir member!

2. School offer - For every purchase of 10 regularly priced tickets, get a complimentary ticket free! This order has to be placed with the Choir and not through SISTIC.

As of now, we have already sold our target of about 800 tix and have opened up the top level too! : ) It's really exciting to know that we are going to perform to a full house again and we don't have to worry about not being able to sell our tix : )

Yesterday's rehearsal was good! And I am looking forward to Cloudburst! It's going to be a surprise and I hope it's going to be a good surprise!

With this concert, Fun Com ends its term here. And I'm feeling a bit teary when I think about it! It's been a great year, though with some ups and downs, but I'm glad I could work with this group of people! Thank you Fun Com! Thank you Nad and Michelle for all guidance, patience and love! : )

我为什么会想这么多。最近真的对自己没有什么信心。

今天的试听真的对我来说是我着一生中最差的一次。。。

真惭愧。。。

Typing in Chinese does seem different. And I finally found out how to type in Chinese : )

Well, on a happier note, I foresee a wonderful FINANCE sem : ) Today's lecture was good! The lecturer is one cool guy! Before the lecture started, he played some background music and dimmed the song just as he started his lecture. His introduction to the lecture such as when is the mid sem test, what textbook to buy; how interesting Finance is...

Good start to a CAP 5 for him when we do the evaluation! hahaha! And that presentation had a song to it too! And when it was a break, he showed the Puss-in-Boots picture and played the Shrek "Accidentally in Love" song during the break!

The next part of the lecture was a little boring though..Like what's in store for us..and a whole lot of finance stuff. Wonderful thing is that the exam and mid term tests are OPEN BOOK : ) Not a good sign. But at least I don't have to memorise like for the sake of memorising for exam. The exam is going to be a hard one too with this...

But I'm determined to study hard this sem!! : )

Cinderella was beautiful! I don't mind watching it once again, living in a fairytale for the 2 hours, watching as magic takes place in front of my eyes!

Bidding makes my life sad.


I got my module. I should be happy. But not when the friends that you were looking forward to taking the module with you did not get the module.

Juat and I got Chamber Singers at 181 points. People put as high as 1k!! 
Bimbo~ I'm glad we get to take the mod together at least! : ))

Well, this sem's bidding just got more crazy. What used to be at 1 point ended up becoming a few hundred points. It's killing and wiping all the points out.

Finance mods were 1k+ too! Thank God I got my MNO mod at 600. Which is super high too...the highest I have spent on a module till date.

Well, bidding is over for me this sem. And so is tutorial balloting coz most of the mods are either sectional teaching or they have already preallocated for me. So, timetable is fixed. Will be up soon. But I think most of the time would be used to doing projects or studying. Going to be a muggertoad this sem.

Takes away the "pain" of thinking that I paid 600 points for my MNO2302 Human Resource Management module.

I can't believe its the highest I spent so far for a module.

I must do well for it!

Looks like I haven't been listening well or understanding my sermons well...Or do I just have a different understanding of it?


My parents shared something which I didn't think it was so grave. Maybe it's just the adults thinking too much into it? I never thought of it that way...

I teared for the first time during service. While we sang "I know who holds tomorrow"

"I don't know about tomorrow.
 I don't seem to understand....

Many things about tomorrow,
I don't seem to understand;
But I know Who holds tomorrow,
And I know Who holds my hand."

True enough...

I don't know what will happen...

We're moving on...
