It was a boring day at work. Aifung and I were both kinda "dead"...Well, we miss Wendy...

Met Ziwei at Tampines in the evening as I needed to buy some stuff. Was suppose to meet Sj but she had something on. And Di was sick. So, I managed to pull Ziwei to join me!!

We went to CS Food court for dinner and then walked around...Decided to take neoprint!! We didn't want to take the sticker kind so we settled for this! :)



Don't we just love neoprints? It covers all the ugly spots! And gives nice complexion! :)

Btw, Metro closed already! Or rather, the shutters were down! And I thought I could have gotten some stuff there today! I was just there on Sun and the staff told me they would close in August! Oh man...

I bought egg tarts home and guess what?! My dad asked, "Egg tarts free ah?" I was stunned...Like no! I BOUGHT them! And I found out why he said that...My mum was at TM this afternoon and she bought EGG TARTS! From the same shop!! Well, she and I think alike. What to do? :) SO, we have 12 pieces of egg tarts tmr...

Oh yah...I forgot to mention. Driving Instructor "Ah Kong" (nickname that SJ and I gave to this instructor) is apparantly in hospital! And s**p** CI could still joke about it by saying a student crashed the car. I hope Ah Kong is alright!! He is a great instructor!!

I met SJ at Eunos and bought a bun as dinner, which made me realise I had BREAD/BUNS for all 3 meals!
Breakfast: Choc spread bread
Lunch: Luncheon meat + Egg bun + 2 honey dews
Dinner: Hot dog bun.

I got CI for lesson today!! WHEE~ I knew it though because it MONDAY!

When I got to his car...

CI: I taught your primary school friend today!
Me: OH REALLY? Who?
CI: ____________ (I shall not say here. But doubt you people know who it is.) She said she is your primary school good friend.
Me: Oh yah...we WERE. After going to sec school then lost contact alr.
CI: How can you lose contact with your good friend? (And he started listing that he keeps in contact with his kindergarten, pri...) She stays around here! Blk___Floor__
Me: yah...I think so. eh! You even know!
CI: But that was all lah! Can't remember.

Oh well, it was her first time having lesson with CI and she is probably the kind who gets every instructor but the same instructor again. Shall see on Fri. She is having another lesson then. And with this, CI takes my book and starts counting the number of lessons I have had with him.

CI: 1, 2, 3, 4......16, 17, 18...19!! So many times ah?! Wah! you are very lucky leh! See got 1st time, then got 2nd and now got 19th time! I am going to tell my other students that you very lucky! Don't pay extra but still get me!
Me: *stunned*

He would have probably carried on saying, "You are so lucky to get the best instructor in the whole CDC." As usual...

We did the courses and all and it was very well done! (Besides parking - i forgot how to turn out and knocked down the front right pole. The going in was good!) And I told him before we started that I was very tired and hope I don't fall alseep behind the wheel. And he was so fierce when I told him that! "YOU BETTER NOT SLEEP BEHIND THE WHEEL! I WANT MY LIFE!"

But when we ended the circuit...
CI: Didn't you say you were tired? How come did so well?
Me: *blush* Hehe! Don't know leh!

We had a great chat again...As usual! And also talked about last Wed's lesson with G. It was so scandalous lah! Shall not say it here! Hehe! The way languages work...Somethings sound wrong. For example...

CI: Where did you go that day? Eunos Link?
Me: Yah! Of course! You guys always bluff me into going to Eunos Link! (where we do lane change 2 times.)
CI: Aiya...It's the only place where we have a lot of fun!
Me: With me only or with the others?
CI: Of course the others also! Instructors need excitement also!
Me: Ok...With your lives yah!
CI: So where else did G take you?
Me: He always loves bringing me to the small lanes.

*PAUSE*

CI starts bursting out loud!
Me BLURRED.

CI: ermm...SMALL LANES! Do what?
Me: Huh? Drive lah!

(OK! I was slow...and soon realised what he meant.)

Me: HEY!! NO LAH!! you anyhow think that way!! So wrong!
CI: Erm..you said it on your own!

right...He is mean!

And he admitted it himself but with a tinge of care.

CI: So how was lesson that day?
Me: Very good loh! You didn't ask G ah?
CI: No lah...Your parking leh?
Me: Err...ok loh. Didn't knock pole! Hehe!
CI: Wah...did everything la...Must have been good lah...Someone ask him to treat you better mah!
Me: Huh? Yah loh...He was nice to me lah...unlike some people.
CI: I had to ask him to treat you nicer because I am always the devil. And G is the Angel. I always treat you very bad mah. So you must have someone good also. G treat you very nice mah.
Me: Wah...You know you treat me very mean hor!
CI: Yah lah..that's why you need G as the Angel. And I play the bad person. you don't like you can go and change instructor loh.
Me: Chey...follow and tolerate you for so long already. you think I want to change instructor meh?

I told CI about Wed's lesson where G said, "Eh...i think E (aka CI) is following us leh! Maybe he misses you!"
CI: Huh? Miss you ah? I followed you meh? Where?
Me: so many places lah! And you kept looking!
CI: Yah lah...I had to look out for things to do and for the safety of all mah!
Me: Dunno what G thinking lah...Anyway, you don't want to teach me mah...So you must have been very happy that day.
CI: No lah! I wanted to teach you! Really! Everytime I say I don't want to teach you is just a joke only. I really want to teach you!
Me: Really meh? You people keep bluffing me until I don't know if i can believe you.
CI: Really! i really wanted to teach you!

Oh well! I am glad that I am not a bad student until no instructor wants me! :)

Roads was well done too! Just that we went to Eunos Link 2 times but I cleared both! :) CI was impressed! But he soon realised that it was G who cleared me for U-turn, right turning and changing lane that he got fed-up. And I told him now he knows why changing lane is a trouble for me and how come I am doing so badly for that.

CI wanted to do many naughty things and I almost played along my life with him. All thanks to believing him.

Back at the circuit, CI's sister called him to return him his car key. His sister is so pretty! But getting there was horrible. It was just a turn to the lobby but CI didn't instruct properly that made me blur and screwed up some things that i was suppose to look out for. And he scolded me but I don't know what got over me that I screamed back at him. I was probably still recovering from the shock that I almost knocked down a motorcyclist and yet CI was telling me so many things.

When CI told me to drive off, she said...

sis: Xiao3 xin1 kai1 che1 ah! (drive carefully!) And bu3 yao4 si3 che1! (hope the car doesn't stall)
Me: Haha! Bu3 hui4 le4 lah! (Won't already!)
CI: Yah loh! zai4 si3 che1 wo3 jiu4 bu4 dong3 yao4 zhen3 me3 ban4 le4! (If stall again, I don't know what to do already.)
sis: Ni3 hao3 hao1 jiao1 ah! (teach properly!)

Am I the first student to meet his sis? :)

And he agreed to teach me how to park after I passed my exams! And I have to bring him out for a meal...As well as buy him a pair of sportshoe every year...CRAP! I only hope the first one is true and that he would bring me out for a meal! Hehe!

Talking about sportshoe, he is going to take part in Sun's some race thing and end of June going to Penang for a marathon! He is going away nonetheless...but at least its not for 2 whole weeks before my exam! I told him, if he goes, he must bring back the 120000RM prize! If not, don't bother going. Hehe! But he is going for the fun of it...shaz, maybe you should just learn under him lah!

At the end of the lesson, I told him he won't be seeing me for 2 wks...YES! 2 freaking wks! To be exact, 16 days!! ARGH! 2 wks without driving...I hope I remember all that he taught...if not, oh darns...

And I told him he sure would miss me because of the number of poles I knocked down today! And all the scary things I did to him. He replied... "I WOULD TRY TO NOT MISS YOU!" (and there were so many instructors there! So wrong lah!!) oh yah...he extended my lesson by 7 mins!! :) We were still in the circuit when everyone else were back at their parking lots already! :)

Again...

It seems as though every alternate Sunday I am out shopping with Mum! Which is a good and yet a bad thing...

Shopping with Mummy is fun because she and I have quite similar taste. Or rather, she gives in to me most of the time. She has quite good fashion sense, but given my size and all, I don't think I can follow the fashion and wear all that kinda stuff. And I am not the kind who would wear big and chunky stuff which is quite in fashion, you know those kind of necklaces which dangle really big beads and all. I still prefer my plain and simple pendants. And I am not those kind who knows how to mix and match. Please...I don't have that kind of energy and time lah!

Mummy doesn't mind going shopping with me now ever since I started working. Why? Because I would pay for the things that I buy. And so, I spent about $100!!

I bought my swim wear for the camp already! And that was after walking through TM and CS! Finally, I settled for a plain swim wear at Arena which was having 20% discounts. Even with that discounts, it came up to about $50+. Thanks to GSS!! Hehe!

And then I bought 2 other beach shorts (whatever you call them...) I am more or less prepared for the camp already. Just left the present for SP. Darns...I am stuck at that...Can't I just buy earrings?

It would be retail therapy for SJ and me on Tues! That reminds me...I gotta cancel tuition. Haiz...

More money spending.
GSS is really tempting!!

Yesterday, I went for the NUS Biz Welcome Tea session. I am glad that I went for it! Met Angeline and her friend, Janice on the train. (It was arranged.) And then we took a taxi from Clementi. The taxi driver didn't know how to get to the University Hall! I told him turn left at the round about but he still turned right and took us to the central library! And we had to walk across from there to take the shuttle bus. In the bus, we asked a girl where to alight. She said, "Oh. I am going there too." Then Janice said, "In other words, she doesn't know where." But it was quite easy to find the place! The bus stop is just right outside of the Uni Hall!

There were many, many people!! And we started off with eating the food first! (After registering.) And I met Sherry! She has also accepted NUS Biz. So, she joined in the group and we made friends with many others also coming to biz school. There were many MJ students!

The talk was really enriching and we heard about USP again like the dunno-how-many-times already. Nah...I don't think I would be able to cope with that. Maybe overseas trips and internships :) And the career talk by Joan was really interesting and looking at the job prospects seem really cool!

We went on a Uni tour in the bus and saw quite a bit of NUS! And Kent Ridge is so near to the Biz school! We went on a walkabout at Sheares Hall and it looks very nice!! I think I am going to enjoy staying at Kent Ridge! The bus stop home is also very near!

I didn't follow the rest to St James Power House after the walkabout. Instead, I took a bus (200) to Buona Vista and a train home. Well, I am glad I didn't go SJPH! Mum, Dad, Nick and I went to CS to eat at Soup Restaurant!! Dad wanted to eat Chinese food after 1 week of eating western in Canada. And so, they checked out Crystal Jade, which had a long queue. And walked around for a while thinking of where to eat! I suddenly remembered about Soup Restaurant! And Mum seconded it! We dragged the 2 men to CS to eat there! My Dad was quite hesitant coz he thought we were just going to drink soup. They asked me to call the shots and place the orders since I had eaten there more than they have. (During the times when I stayed with my grandaunt, we frequent Soup Restaurant!) So, I ordered the set meal for 4 ($78) and it was a very heavy meal with so many dishes! Mum even said we should order the $88 one the next time we come!! Oh well, Dad paid for it ($101) and he was satisfied! What to do, they even know that "my daughter has expensive and good taste" hehe!!

Well, it was a long time ever since we had a sit down family dinner at a restaurant! :) I am glad the night went well!

Mum and I wanted to shop after that. But we were too full to shop! So, guess today's shopping was the continuation of yesterday's! :)

I have driving tmr!! Meeting SJ! Driving Therapy! CI is working tmr night, but I don't know if it would be him. Anyways, I am glad to know that he wants to teach me!

This was something that I wanted to post last Thurs, but I saved it as draft instead.

I did something really silly with regards to my driving lessons timing. I forgot to cancel 23 May lesson and when I realised it, it was TOO LATE!! I remembered only when Sarah and I met on 22 May morning to go to driving lesson together.

SJ: Hey Rach, I cancelled tmr's lesson.
Me: YOU DID?! OH NO!!! I FORGOT TO CANCEL MINE!!

I frantically called CDC and no, the answering machine kept answering me! It was only till I got to the gates of CDC that I managed to talk to a human.

Girl: Hi! Comfort Driving Centre! How may I help you?
Me: Hi! I was wondering if you could check if I still have tmr's lesson or have I cancelled it?
Girl: Ok...give me a minute. Can I have your ID?
Me: (secret though CI remembers every number of it! :))
Girl: Ok, you still have tmr's lesson.
Me: Oh darn. Erm...Could you please help me to cancel it?
Girl: Oh Sorry! I can't! You need at least 2 working days to cancel.
Me: Yah...I know. Then what about try sell?
Girl: Yah...you could.
Me: OK! Cool! Could you please help me to try sell?
Girl: Oh yah..you need to write in to tell us why you can't make it for tmr. Why do you need to cancel?
Me: Oh! My boss doesn't want me to take leave.
Girl: Then I think you got to get your boss to write a letter.
Me: HUH?! What if I do it myself over the internet. Still need to write a letter?
Girl: Then you don't have to.
Me: Aiya...Ok then. Thanks.

How dumb! Who is the boss here?! CDC or my boss? Imagine me getting my boss to write a letter? I think I would get fired! Anyways, I told my supervisor at work and she was laughing at it. And laughing at my forgetfulness. She was nice to let me take the whole day off yesterday (since I wanted to leave at 2pm to go to Siglap and I would only report to work at 11am. Which means I work only 2 hours?!) But in the end, I pleaded with her to let me go to work! I worked from 11am to 3pm while eating lunch during work. It was better than not working at all! At least I got work done! I think she must be wondering why I was so eager to work when she let me off! But I didn't want to take so much leave especially I was taking full day today! Anyways, there's a long story behind my plan of booking 2 driving lessons in a row. I was so pissed with myself for that. But...I think there's always a blessing in disguise behind these stupidity-ness! :)

I was really pissed when I started driving lesson on Tues with CI.

Me: Have you had breakfast?
CI: Why? We go Macs issit? Set!
Me: Don't want lah...I already had..
CI: What happened? Why you like that?
Me: Huh? I very tired lah...got up at 630am leh! Coz dad not here to send me here (CDC) and then got to come on my own...
CI: Oh! Then you didn't take his car and drive here!
Me: Aiya...you think I don't want meh?

And he started telling me stories of people who drove their cars to CDC without having their own driving license!

Chat...Chat...Chat...

And then we went to do directional change. I went up the kerb but that was because he was hurrying me until I got so uptight and turned at the wrong time! But that was because there was a test car! He was a bit pissed...but then we carried on chatting and crapping...

Then I told him the whole story of me forgetting to cancel the lesson.

Me: How ah?! Tmr got lesson again ah!
CI: Aiya...why tmr?! Why not Thurs?
Me: Thurs? Why Thurs?
CI: Because Thurs I am not here!
Me: *diao*
CI: But then, tmr also may not be me lah! But Gilbert would be here lah! (Hinting that he wouldn't teach me and I knew that it may not be him, which eventually was true.)
Me: But looking at the past lessons, how much chance would that be?
CI: Yah lah..still got chance. But really leh. Xiao Jie, you must jia1 ba3 jin4 (keep going) ok! If not ah, I am going to be so embarrassed! Teach you for so long already so you must pass ok!!
Me: Yah lah! You think I don't want meh? So sian of waiting already...

And he kept encouraging me and telling me the things to look out for! :)

We went to do the rest of the circuit and I can safely say that it went fantastically well! He said so! Hehe!

But when we went out, I got scolding a few times for not changing back to gear 1 at a stop. I started so many times in gear 2 and CI got really pissed!

CI: How many times must I tell you?! YOUR GEAR! Can you please get it into your head?!
Me: *getting a bit scared, but I was giggling and smiling*
CI: You heard or not?
Me: Yah! I did! (Looking out for cars coming while I was at the filter lane) Oh no...so xiong1 (fierce)! Hai...
CI: Ni3 shuo1 shen3 me4? (what did you say?)
Me: I said you getting fierce le.
CI: *And he started laughing!*

Right...so you know, he won't be angry with me! :) I agree a lot with Sarah on that driving instructors would probably have undergone some training programme to put up with whiny people like me and her! :)

Anyways, the lesson went totally well! And he praised me! And even promised to bring me to macs or rather we drive to macs when I get my license!! :)

The next day, I went for lesson and I got 183. I knew that it wouldn't be CI who would be taking me and it would be Gilbert. But I was very tired...waking up at 630am! And walking a long distance to the bus stop! And getting to the CDC at 815am!

Before the lesson started, I went to the canteen there to wait for G to come.
But CI saw me and started calling me...

CI: Eh! G is teaching you today leh...It won't be me. (and he showed me his palmtop, telling me who his student is)
Me: Orh...I know...
CI: How you know?
Me: Not your car no. mah. so not you loh. But then you said it may be G. So i know its G loh. (ok...i wasn't making any sense. But CI was darn sweet!)
CI: Aiya...I want to teach you today de. But then got this student.
Me: Then change with G loh!
CI: Cannot lah...How to change?
Me: Cannot change or you don't want to change?
CI: Cannot lah! Already said want to teach you!
*Btw, the conversations were mostly in Mandarin. But I am too lazy to type out what we said in Mandarin.

And we continued...I whined to him telling him I am in a bad mood coz I wasn't able to cancel my lesson...

CI: Don't worry lah! G said he will dui4 ni3 hao3 yi4 dian3! (Treat you better)
Me: HUH?! What do you mean? Aiya...i going for lesson already lah. (G was in his car waiting for me. And it was already 3 mins into the lesson.)

In the car I asked G how come CI said he would treat me better. Then G said, "You mean I treat you very bad all along ah?!"

Oh well...I warned G that I was in a bad mood and told him the whole story. CI probably already told G that I would be in a bad mood that's why G would treat me nicer.

During the lesson, I passed CI's car a few times and each time we did, he gave me a very sad look and was like quite pitiful. He would then giggle at his student. He was super mean lah! G was like "aww...he miss you lah..." And then CI followed us quite a way within the circuit. There was even a time when he watched me do my parking! super stressed lah! But I managed to clear it! hehe!

Anyways, the lesson went superbly well! And we talked quite a bit. G has like became my good friend after having 5 lessons with him! And probably all my bimbotic moments that CI shared with him. And secrets! haha! And he showed me his kids pics! So cute!! And we offered each other advice on how to deal with family problems. oh well...that's the kinda friendship we have made.

At the end of the lesson, I met Ziwei at the usual zebra crossing in the school. And CI walked pass that way!

CI: Eh! How come still here?
Me: Orh...talking to friend. So how was lesson? did you miss me? :)
CI: Err...ok loh...
Me: Did you go out of circuit?
CI: No...I love staying in circuit. Cannot ah?
Me: Can...I thought you would want to go out! I had a lot of fun outside! (CI was quite sad...)
CI: Anyway, how was lesson? I told G to treat you better today!
Me: EH!! YOU told him to treat me better?! Why?!
CI: Like that loh...How was lesson? (he didn't reply me!!)
Me: Ok loh...Actually it was very good!! (CI had ??? all over his face.) Serious!! YOU GO AND ASK G LAH! I really did well today! Humph...
CI: Yah lah...At least you had fun!

~pInKdELiGhTs~ It's the first Saturday that I don't have choir...Feeling so wrong...


Oh oh! Ate lotsa chocolate yesterday at office! Bought a Choc bun "Chocolate Star" for breakfast. And bought chocolate wafer rolls for teabreak. But a salesman and Adrian came back from Meiji yesterday afternoon and apparently Meiji has some discount thing going on on Fri. So, the salesman bought this back for Wendy! And we ate to our hearts content! Suppose to be quite exp. And Adrian bought a tin (10packets) of Yan Yan back! There was chocolate and cheese flavour. He gave us 2 cheese but we managed to whine and change it to 2 chocolates! Whining works! Men are the most afraid of that! :)

And so, we had an afternoon of chocolates! So SINFUL!!

I am so glad that I took part in La Risonanza IV!

I had a great time with the juniors and with the alumni! We have grown so much, existing with 20 members for this concert! We enjoyed ourselves and managed to pull off the 2 songs - Exsultate Yusti and Sigulempong. We didn't go so sharp as what we usually do during our practices and sang at an enjoyable mood! And I thought I pulled off the solo line quite ok :)

I enjoyed myself while standing beside 2 power tenors during the concert - Jeffrey on my left and Harris on my right! And standing in quartet sounded really good! I was glad we had faith in each other! :)

Thanks lots to everyone in the alumni! Thanks to Geraldine, Huiting and Jeannie for having so much trust and faith in each other and for doing your very best as fellow sopranos! I really enjoyed working with you girls! :)

And also to the conductors - Mr Kwei, Mr Yong and Mr Toh for giving me so much advice and encouragement today before the concert! And for having so much faith in me! :)

The concert has ended...But the life of MJC Alumni Choir has just begun. We would meet up quite often even though we have no goal to work towards to besides La Risonanza V! By then we would have a larger group, hopefully, if the juniors join us! In any case, we have made friends and sustained a decent alumni! We have more to showcase and we would strive to hold our own concert! Hopefully!

The juniors did well too and I am very proud of them! The medley was very fun too and they did their acting and actions really swift! Congrats junoirs for making a 100% sold out concert performance again! *Ahem...Join Alumni can?!*

~piNkDeLigHts~ I don't want to stop singing!

I am suppose to be getting ready for the concert later!! And to meet the others at 12pm at City Hall! But here I am, still stuck in front of the computer, listening to Hana Kimi's soundtrack, singing along! No time no time! Too bad, I can't resist the tempation of typing in some stuff here. It would actually be 3 long posts, but I am just compressing it into 1 long post! :)

In about 11 hours, I would be on stage with the rest of the alumni singing Sigulempong and Exsultate Justi. 12 hours later, I would be leaving VCH, ending my choir stint with the alumni for the time being (since we have no further plans...) I would love to go to Pattaya, but many reasons prevail. I am going to miss the alumni!! 4 months of practice (with quite few practices considering we met only about once a week..) I hope we could sustain the alumni till the end of time! :)

Alright...Wish me all the best people as I hope to pull through the songs with the alumni and my solo part which is quite a few bars only but still, I don't really think I am prepared...Hope everything goes well later! :)

And to the soccer guys! All the best! Champions is ours to achieve again!! :)

And I realised that every part of the para ends with a :)! It can't be helped when I am so excited for tonight's concert and so many other things! :)

Yesterday afternoon, You Han and I went to Siglap South CC to see the juniors and give them some support! They are really a fun bunch of people and seeing them do their 2nd half medley of Beatles was really an enjoyable thing, bringing back memories of Sunset Boulevard that we did last year. I could see they were having lots of fun! However, many of them were falling ill because of the intense practice they have been having ever since even before SYF! That's about a month already. I can assure you that after the concert, they would feel lost without having choir practices on their diaries. Imagine spending so much time with this group of people and seeing them almost everyday, wouldn't you feel lost? But I know that their friendships will last! And they would carry on singing for the passion of it! Join alumni people! Relive the passion for singing! :)

And guess what?! We are close to 100% as of last night with just a few tickets not sold! But I believe, they would have 100% sales! Congrats and well done juniors! :)

Woots!! I am so proud of them! Can't wait to see them perform tonight! Jia you MJChoir! :)

I kopped this from a junior. But really...It's time I did some publicity!

MJChoir is staging La Risonanza IV this Thursday, 24 May 2007. 730pm at Victoria Concert Hall. Tix going at $12.

It's a too good and very worth it concert to attend! You would be treated to songs sung by many choirs, namely MJChoir, TKSS Choir and AHS Choir. Moreover, there would be the MJC Alumni Choir which includes me!! It's too good a concert to miss!!
Unfortunately for the choir, there would be the soccer match between MJ and RJ on that same thurs night. This means that I wouldn't be at the soccer finals screaming my head off with Shaz, SJ, Wei2 and Az (but I think Az would probably not say a thing and hopes that she isn't anywhere near us!!). But this also means that our tix sales would be affected. We need more audience!! It's our happiness and passion to be able to perform for a full house audience!

Anyways, today, Mum drove to church! And I picked up some pointers from her while driving! Yes, I think I need to be more confident like her! Go Mum! Your driving skills have improved! :) (Especially when you haven't been driving for a long time!)

We had a great time at Bible study with some discussions going on in class! I want more of that!! :)

We went to my grandparents' place to "deposit" brother there for the week. And to catch up with the old folks. I went off to Siglap South CC for alumni choir practice which was to start at 4pm. But as usual, people were late...and we couldn't interrupt Mr Kwei's choir practice with NUS and Consort. So, we waited till 430pm. We didn't have full attendance again...but we tried our best to do whatever we could during that time. We had lotsa fun! Oh...we always do! And we tried out different standing positions while struggling with the horrible acoustics of the room! Anyways, it was a good practice! Just that Geraldine and I blanked out at one point which made us self-destruct. Oops!! And I was blank-ing out so many times again...I better not on Thurs!!

Finally, I was able to do one to one practice with Gerald on the descant part. I am going to be so screwed if we go sharp on Thurs!! I am loving the alumni choir now! And I don't know if we can carry on and build up to become a reknown alumni choir! No projects or concerts to look forward to after La Risonanza IV...Probably La Risonanza V? But there are many songs we wish to learn and we would meet once in a while (not confirmed) to practice a bit...

But I just don't want the concert to end so fast! Darns...this is like going back to a year ago where we had La Risonanza III and everyday was just about choir, choir and choir...Even in lectures and tutorials, I was thinking about the musical, ticket sales etc.. Azzimah can vouch for that! :)

It was dinner out at Tampines..Again!
I managed to buy my black pants! From Bossini and it was going at 40% off the original $49! Just in time for me to use on Thurs! Woots~~

It was a night out with the alumni people once more and I am going to miss these days...
While waiting for the train, Harris and I sang through the 2 songs that we are going to perform on Thurs and we found some revalation to the songs! So, I think I know how I am going to enjoy myself with those songs!

How fast it has been...A year...A year ago, I was struggling with so many emotions...And it's back again.

It's the first working day without Dad sending me to work. And I almost couldn't wake up! I snoozed my phone from 630am to 715am! And just as I switched on the radio, 933 DJ Cai Wei Bin asked, "How long do you take to wake up from the first ring of the alarm?" Well...I range from half an hour to 3 hours! Hehe!

And I got to work at 840am! And Wendy thought I was starting early today...of coz not...I sat there eating my breakfast! :)

Monday...Monday blues...
People in office were all very quiet. It wasn't the usual noisy office. Everyone must be still having a "hang over" from the weekend!

And many people in office are falling ill including Aifung and myself...We were coughing and having flu. And my throat is hurting a bit...I think we have been singing too much. Harris is falling ill too...Get well soon!

Suddenly, we have many cartoon and comic characters in office! And "bad man (huai4 ren2)" Shawn bullied Aifung and me again... Oh wells...he's "Bad"man...(aka evil spiderman! He should be known as evil Batman...) but he was nice to say that he would miss us! :)

Had a great time at choir today! We did practice in the hall and got to hear the Chamber Chorus. Hmm...Not bad I should say! And a little of the main choir. Ours was rather stagnant. Like not much musical flow and dynamics. And the old problem of mine is resurfacing...Again. I expected it like so long ago but it wasn't mentioned. And now, it's 4+ days to the concert and I have to face this reality! I am so confused...How?!!

And there's a slight pitching problem which is a major mistake coz we would go really sharp with that minor problem. And we tried to clarify that but it is probably too etched in our minds that we can't erase the wrong one. Thanks to Harris for trying to help me with that note switching part. Now, I just have to try...

I am losing a bit of confidence here...

Guess what?! I didn't spend any money today except on breakfast! Lunch was a treat by one of the sales managers! He drove us to Mei Chin Road to have chicken rice! How cool is that?! It's like the 2nd time in 2 wks that I went out with a manager for lunch! It's great going out lunch with them coz I am just a temp staff and they treat me like a mei mei, so they could just crap and tell me a lot of things. But I know if I do become a permanent staff, things would be different. Anyways, I got to learn more from the manager today about taking up the business course and there's much demand in the marketing area (as what he said. And he is doing Masters for that now!!) I could ask my manager too! Before I leave.

Oh yah! I am having an OFFICIAL TRAINING for a software programme that we use in office and it's going to be by a very funny manager! Darns...I think Aifung and I are just going to be giggling or laughing through the whole training. Btw, they purposely changed the timing for my sake!! Actually it's suppose to be on Mon, then the manager changed it to Tues morning. But I told him and my supervisor that I have driving lesson and so, he changed it to Tues afternoon! Woots!! Thanks lots! :)

I left without saying bye to my supervisor and she was kinda "pissed" and said some lame stuff! But she was really funny when she continued laming around with Aifung and my sms replies! Anyways, I met Harris at City Hall MRT station. He called to ask me which cabin am I near at. And I was really blur. How would I know?! And was "whining" to him that I don't know! Well, I didn't know that the cabin number is about the door! I thought it was on the train itself!!

We got to Tampines MRT station like slightly after 7pm. The other alumni choir members came shortly after that! We went to Sunplaza Park to find a nice spot to practice. It was fun and we were like laughing throughout the practice. I kinda blanked out quite a few times and made mistakes! I was probably too tired...

We improved quite a bit and there's some nice blending coming on! But hopefully that would sustain till the CONCERT on THURSDAY!! It's only 5+ days to the concert! I got quite nervous while singing beside Jeffrey and Harris...2 power tenors! On the other hand, there were nice moments that we blended with each other!! MJChoir Alumni! JIA YOU!! :)

And so, there's practice again later and tmr. I am not getting sian. In fact, I am getting really attached to the alumni choir now that everyone are blending and gelling and getting to know each other! I am getting to click with the senior sops (Jeannie and Hui Ting!) And the other seniors too!! I love you guys! =)

DRIVING LESSON!!

Yes! That was what started out my day! And as usual, it was fun! But it was more fun today! Yes Shuzzie...I took my whole 100 mins to irritate CI. Or rather, he irritated me a lot!!

100 mins and we were talking non-stop. We talked about a lot of things and I tried to squeeze out information from CI like his age and how long has he been teaching. But I didn't get the answers. CI would always digress like give some crap answer saying he is 21 this year. WHO WOULD BELIEVE??!! And he could tell me how many years the other instructors have been teaching but just won't say his!! Ok...Not important...

He was so crappy the first thing I got into the car. He saw me sian sian...

CI: Eh...What happened? Ok ma?
Me: ah yah...just that I am very sleepy. hen2 xiang3 shui4 jiao4! (Want to sleep)
CI: Huh? What did you do?
Me: Dunno leh...slept for 7 hours but still very sleepy.
CI: Did you eat breakfast?
Me: Yah...just one small pao.
CI: Wah! Like that ok already ah?
Me: Aiya...I too sleepy to eat lah!
CI: Oh no! Xiao Jie! You going to drive! Don't sleep while driving ah!!

He must be too hungry coz he didn't eat breakfast. And he ate grape sweets for breakfast!

The first thing that I started out doing today was vertical parking! And I immediately failed that...

Then he said...Ok...don't need to do circuit le...we going to eat breakfast... Haiz...

So disappointing lah! First thing already didn't get it right. And I was supposed to impress him so that we could go out to the roads at least!

Slope was well done! Just that I rolled back a few cm.

S and Crank course were well done! Just that I almost couldn't get in at Crank course coz I turned too late and almost was going to hit the curb. I wanted to reverse but CI said, just turn full lock and can go in already. I really wonder how these instructors know!!

Parallel parking was bad the first one. Then the 2nd one going in was well done! But going out was wrong... Grazed his precious car against the right front pole. And he made me do again. But this time was perfect! Very good~~

Then did vertical parking. First time was bad because I forgot where to position my car. And then hit the right kerb. But the next one was very good! but slanted...
He was very lame!! Kept making funny noises and distracting me while I parked. And kept going, OH NO! GOING TO BANG ALREADY!

CI: Eh! Hurry up! Got tester car coming already! Hurry!!
Me: EH! BU2 YAO4 CUI1 WO3!! (DON'T HURRY ME!)
CI: Orh..ok. (And he started blowing!! Cui1 in Mandarin has 2 meanings hurry or blow depending on how it's written.)
Me: STOP IT! If not I get angry already ah! And then you are going out to pick up poles! And your car is going to get scratched!
CI: Huh?! Ok ok...I don't blow already. I turn up the aircon fan and blow! Then you would hurry up!
Me: EH!! (diao...so lame!!)

Then the one that I hate most now is directional change. I went in before the car doing that signalled for me to go in! Oh wells...I forgot about that...Then CI got pissed because I forgot. Then the car was slanted. so i tried to straighten it but it became worse. Worse of all, CI didn't want to help. I said I am going to reverse and he gave me a face. So I aborted that idea. But that was what i was supposed to do. He said, up to me. So, I went ahead with the reverse and he said Good. Dunno what's on his mind. But i know that he wanted me to be independent and get over the situation on my own. Need more practice on this!

We went out to the roads!! Whee!! Well, in a test, I wouldn't even be able to go out. Coz, I would have gotten too many demerit points already. Anyways, we went out and it was a time where we could get to crap a lot of things coz there were so many traffic lights!! And my car stalled a few times. The reason being I wasn't daring enough to step a lot of accelarator! And so, the car stalled. I would think that in times of long traffic lights and slow moving traffic, I would love to drive an auto car! Then I wouldn't need to worry about the clutch.

We did the scary Eunos Link! I screamed and really screamed at the top of my voice at him when he said we were going to Eunos Link! Oh wells, he did give me a choice and asked me where I wanted to go. But I said anything and Eunos Link was where he suggessted. My most feared place!

The first time when I changed lane, it was ok. Then when I changed to the 2nd lane...darns...that was hard! CI scolded me for not changing lane at so many opportunities! But I didn't think they were opportunities! I couldn't bring myself to change lane worried that I would crash! CI said, "Just change lane. I am here. Don't worry." >.<

We went round other places and then the next thing I knew, we were going back to Eunos Link. CI looked like he was having fun.

CI: Haha! Do you know where we are going?
Me: Oh oh!! I think I do!! Argh! NO!! (On top of my voice again!)
CI: Haha! NO choice! We are here already! NO turning back! Hahahahaha~
Me: MEAN!! Argh! Cannot lah!
CI: You got cheated~

I told you he is mad...

Anyways, we went back there...This time I changed lane on my own!

Me: OK! Chiong ah!!
CI: Hey!! Watch it! Oh no!
Me: Choing ah! Don't care lah! (Changed one lane!)
CI: Eh! You checked blindspot or not?
Me: Yah lah! Checked le lah! I don't care, I am going! Choing ah! (Changed 2nd lane!)

Oh wells, I gave him his ego booster...He indirectly made me say that he is the best instructor. Again. But he did praise me a lot too today!

We went back to the circuit and did // and vertical parking again! The first times doing both were great! Then the 2nd times were bad. And then when I did vertical the last time before we changed over, it was perfect!!

But I made a stupid mistake after that...I put to Gear 1 (supposed to be neutral) and handbrake and CI was standing outside with the car door opened!! If I had released my brake, he would have gone with the car already! Well, it was a good thing he saw!

When we parked at his parking area, we saw Sarah and her instructor. But it wasn't my distant cousin (S). Throughout the lesson, CI was looking out for S. But we just didn't see. And realised that S didn't teach Sarah! I figured I knew what had happened. Oh man...During dinner, Mummy told me what happened...And it was worse than I expected. S! Pull yourself together ok! You have this new found distant cousin here! =)

I can say that I am quite over the moon after today's lesson! And it has been one of the better lessons! But well...I have another 12 lessons to go! And it should be with CI. So, more crapping mornings with him! Haha!

I am feeling really tired. And don't feel like talking at all...

Work in office was light today! Seriously! I even had time to stone! But it's not something (I mean stoning) which I love coz it really makes me more tired. We were crapping half the time, like talking about men and uni stuff. =)

And today's lunch was super fun! Went out with 2 managers, my supervisor and the secretary! We went to eat curry chicken chop! Sinful but nice! Yeah...sinful food are always great! ;) Anyways, we had a great time crapping! And the managers were like teaching me how to drive and look out for what at where! Lots of jokes too! It can't be helped when you are out with 2 major big time salesmen! Alvin, when I get my license, I am making sure you let me drive your car! :)

I woke up feeling really tired. But excited!!

Met Sarah at CDC and she got my distant cousin for lesson again! I had my auto car lesson today, so no CI. She and I were both sleepy drivers...she stayed up the whole night gaming!!

We went to find our cars together, since it was at the same area. On the way, we were looking for our CIs. She saw hers but I didn't see mine!! And I saw my distant cousin! We started lesson and met each other just before we exited of the area.

My lesson was fun! The instructor taught me how to operate an auto car and it was kinda easy! We went out to the roads first and he kept asking me to accelerate! He said i was going too slowly when I was already at 50km/h! When we got to Temasek Poly that area, he asked me to go up to 70km/h! I was like flying! I am not used to driving at really high speeds especially since I have been doing circuit for the past 2 weeks!

The instructor told me a lot of stories especially about the recent drink driving incidents and the speeding cases and accidents. And also about working life. It's great getting some advice from this guy. And it's time for me to get back to my newspapers. Or at least watching the news.

We went back to the circuit and he let me do slope and the directional change thing that only auto cars do! It was so fun! And easy!! It was like another amusement park ride for me! :)

After today's lesson, I think I still would prefer driving a manual car. Well, that's probably because I have had quite a bit of practice on that already. When I get used to the automatic car, I would probably think otherwise. Driving a manual car is more fun to me! At least I wouldn't think of falling asleep as I would have many things to do while driving, like changing gear and clutching in etc. And my left leg wouldn't feel redundant!! Poor leg...got numb because it had nothing to do...

But at least when driving auto car, there would be many things I wouldn't worry about at all like when the car is going to stall, free-wheeling, clutch and gear shifting!! I was on Drive the whole lesson! And my left hand was itching to shift the gear.
After all these, i hope that I still would remember how to drive the manual car on wed!! And it better be a good lesson!

After lesson, I waited for Sarah. But I saw CI! And because I was still quite blur after the lesson and he wasn't wearing his spectacles, we were both squinting when we saw each other from far! I spoke to him for about 3-4 mins!! I am glad that I could at least say good morning! :)

And I met my distant cousin face to face and said a word of hi! FINALLY!

Oh yah! I managed to book my lessons for July! Except for one day because I thought I didn't have enough credits. But Sarah! I just remembered that I have to cancel one lesson next wk! So, it would be alright! No need to top up le! 10 lessons in 2 wks before my test! How's that?! CI would just puke blood everyday and die of loss of blood! Muahahaha!

56 days!!

And 10 days to La Risonanza IV! I can't believe it's so near!! Argh!!

OOH! There's just so much to blog about!

Met up with the girls (Sarah and Azzimah) for dinner! And we went to WHITESANDS!! Yes...it's no longer the WHITESANDS we know from the JC days. It's a new, hip, hot and happening place! And we ate at BURGER KING!! Yes! There is one there now!! Oh oh! We saw many people - Army guys!! :) And someone LC really likes who teaches maths!! Haha~

We sat there chatting for a long while with SJ telling us how her driving lesson went! And I saw this guy who looks like CI from the back...just that CI is a bit shorter. Hehe! Wells, we had a great chat!

Then we went upstairs to shop...Well, rather, I was the one doing the shopping. I was looking for a new pair of driving shoes! Actually I saw many! But either got size, no colour. Or vice versa. We went to Popular coz I needed to buy some stuff for my cousin. And we looked through many assessment books, jolting memories of our schooling days...And wow-ing at the kinds of assessment books kids these days have...

We met Shaz at the exit just before we were going off. (She had dinner with her Odac friends..Well, that was a good thing, if not she would have murdered SJ and I during dinner since we rattled on about driving...as usual :)) Her father called her to go home coz he wanted to talk to her. Poor girl got freaked out. But in the end, her father was being a very sweet guy...wanting her to book movie tix for mother's day! :) Aww....

I had a great time at choir yesterday!!

The morning started off with getting up at 8am, going to the market, and having breakfast with mum and dad!! Then they sent me off to Siglap South CC for choir prac.

Attandance for basses and altos were great! But sops and tenors...The beginning of the practice I had Ber with me. Then she had to leave early. And Geraldine had something on in the morning so came only like an hour after Ber left...So, for that one hour I was alone!! And Harris was the only tenor! Well, I kinda had a one to one "tuition" with Gerald coz whatever mistakes made by Sop was made by me alone. Hehe! It was great! :)

We tried out different standing postions and gave in our best shots at each. We even did quartet which was really quartet where one from each section sang. So, 4 people sang at a time. I had to sing 2 times coz since only there was Geraldine and myself as Sops for yesterday. I must say she has improved a lot and is more daring now! I kinda like some lines that she produces! Smooth and clear! Jia you girl!! :)

I found out that I cannot stand beside Harris. Each time I do, it's either I am very nervous or we start laughing halfway through the song. And it's the incontrollable laugh where you laugh non-stop even till a long time later! Which is bad...coz the song gets interrupted. We have no idea why we start laughing too...

Gerald, Dao Lin, You Han, Harris, Yong Yi and myself went to Parkway Yoshinoya for lunch! After that, everyone else didn't have an agenda but me!! I had so many things to buy!! I wanted to make my contacts... And everyone waited for me...but I didn't coz Richard (the guy at the optics) told me to do a checkup again since it was one year ago that I made the contacts...No time to do it then. I went to get some hair accessories! And the guys waited for me again. :) Darns...3 guys waiting for one girl!!

We carried on walking...Dao Lin and Yong Yi left leaving just You Han, myself and Harris. I must say that Harris is really a nice guy to go shopping with! He gives the really nicest advice and a lot of advice! We went to shop for shoes and clothes! And he accompanied wherever I went! Maybe coz he had time lah...But no words of complaints! :) And I managed to find a nice pink pair of shoes! Woots~

Mother's Day was spent just like any other Sunday! Just that Mummy was much happier and she got presents! I gave her the watch I bought that day and she loves it! Well, I am so glad that she does! We went to Bugis after lunch to get the strap shortened and we bought strawberries at Cold Storage for Ah ma! BIG BIG STRAWBERRIES!! And Sweet!! Each strawberry was about 60cents! Imported goods are always expensive...And we bought muffins! =) Lotsa sinful food...

And church had a cake to celebrate mother's day! :)

I am so tempted to be downstairs with my mum!! She is watching Spring Waltz and it's super enticing! But I can't watch it coz I have other things to do and besides, if I watch a bit here and there and know the story line, I wouldn't be interested to watch it from the beginning again...

Today has been a day of calls! (more below) Received a call from Bernice this morning and we had a chat even though I was sitting right in front of my supervisor. That's the thing about having a nice supervisor - you can just talk on the phone in front of her! And even chat with the other temp staff (aka Aifung) about school and other topics. She would just offer opinions or joke around with us! :)

And Adrian (a colour specialist) was like super free today! He kept walking around and chatting with us! He sat down with us before lunch and talked to us about working life and how a man should start a family and what kinda of life he wants his kids to be! And he sounds so much like my dad! (Nope...He aint old! He is only 28!) He wants his kids to take it slow and enjoy life instead of stressing out in this crazy world! My dad says that too! :) And he gave us his name card so that when we leave, we could still keep in touch for lunch and whatever nots, since NUS would be just a (maybe a long) bus ride away! Oh! And I want to go to his wedding too!! Wedding bells should be ringing anytime this year!! :)

Guess the working life aint that easy afterall...Lunch with 3 other permanent colleagues and hearing their conversation made me realise that's the real working world. It's not good playing the hardworking person style. Only those with brains would get their way to the top. But yet, it's not worth compromising character and moral values for the sake of moving up the heirachy...Well, that's the way it is.

After lunch, it was back to work...But with lots of laughter and fun! As usual, we have Aifung who was day dreaming...and then we talked about university degrees...And my supervisor had lots to offer. We concluded that getting a degree is just a stepping stone in the working world to get above and ahead of the others. If we don't get that degree, we would just have to prepare ourselves for a harder working life. But as long as we have the determination and the drive to find other alternatives, we would still have the same or better outcome. Just that university degree would be a faster route...In the end, you may not do whatever you studied in uni when you come out to work.

Adrian came to sit with us again and irritate us by looking for food. We were busy finding food for him to munch! But realised that whatever we took out were either "lao hong" or already expired. TOO BAD!! In the end, he went back to eating Chips Ahoy! (Aifung calls that baby food!)

The other sales people were going nuts about so many other things! That's the way my office is...they are so relaxed when they are in office coz they have been out the whole day. And they just crap about anything! After 430 pm...The place turns into a laughing room! :)

Went up to grandparents place for dinner and to tuition the boys... Darns...I only tuitioned the pri6 boy, coz he is the only one who is willing to let me tuition. The other 2 boys went home and his brother only wanted to play my phone. I gave up on him coz I know that once he says no means no. If he really wanted, he would have sat down with his things already. But might as well...I couldn't teach him Chinese coz I didn't know what his syllabus was and I had no time and energy to go and dig out his books. So, I just taught the pri 6 boy. I taught until I wanted to vomit blood. The boys were all having Chinese paper tmr! And all I had as a resource was an assessment book. I had a Chinese-English and vice versa dictionary. But I hate that kind coz I think the kid would be too reliant on it. And I had a student Chinese dictionary, which didn't have the words that the chinese assessment was testing!! I had no idea how to teach at all!! I couldn't teach in Chinese because he didn't understand much of that. And I didn't want to use English! How??!! How??!! Those tutoring Chinese! HELP!!

And so, I gave up after 10 questions of where they gave a term and find the right sentence. I just didn't know how to prepare for his paper tomorrow. Wells, I think I shall just stick to teaching Maths and hope that he did ok today. At least pass!!! The next countdown timer I would put is to the day where he takes his PSLE Maths!!

I came back, had a chat with 2 juniors on their concert planning...I think I gotta call Bernice tomorrow...

And then called Az! She, Shaz, SJ and myself are meeting for dinner tmr! After they end the soccer match between NJ and MJ! I can't go coz I have to work! All the best MJ soccer team!

After that, I went to bathe and was suppose to call Az back coz I told them we were going to have a conference call like 25 mins later...but I didn't call them till like an hour later. Hehe! Sorries! Kent Ridge girl called me to ask me when I could meet her to pay for the camp!! And then I called Angeline...And we had a long talk...since we hadn't talked since 2 days ago. We had much to talk about work and her work since she quit. Ah...I think I made the right decision to just stay on in Ricoh! :)

Alrights...I called into Az phone at 11pm! Di, Shaz, Az, and SJ were already on the line and were waiting for me. Well, we didn't have much to really talk about just crapping here and there. But 5 people on the line aint a really good way to chat. We couldn't hear much of each other. But still, it was great being on a conference with 5 people!! When was the last time I had that?! End of sec 4? >.<

Well, the conversation was rather censored...by Di and Shaz, coz they forbade SJ and I to talk about driving! But you know, it's so difficult! And I managed to book monday morning and cancel my afternoon auto lesson!! WOOTS~~ And I was so exhilarated over the phone which I think only SJ understands why! Haha! At least I get that lesson now and so that I can change my leave tmr! Woots!! :)

This is going to be a long post...as usual!

I am at home now, squeezing out the little energy that I have to come online to try to change my auto driving lesson on mon. I don't want to go in the afternoon! So, trying to get morning so that I can meet Ziwei and SJ! Anyways, driving aside first.

Btw, I am on MC that's why aint at work. Down with fever. But I think it's just fatigue with the lack of sleep. Thanks to Mum, I am feeling much better! She is the one who is tired out after all that running upstairs and downstairs yesterday! My Dad is down with gastric flu and fever and my bro was down with indigestion. So, the whole night, she was shuffling from my room and her room with the ice pack trying to bring our fever down. I doubt we actually spread it to each other since we were suffering from different causes of illness. But it so happened that we are sick at the same time. Thanks Mummy!!

I had felt very tired yesterday morning but still went to work. On the way, Aifung called me to tell me that she is not feeling well and is taking MC! Woah! I almost took MC! If I did, Wendy wouldn't have any assistants around! I had fun at work nonetheless, just that I was feeling really tired and feverish. Workload wasn't too heavy and I spent half the time chatting with Wendy and the other sales people! So, time passed quite fast...

I took the train with Irene...but when I got to Paya Lebar, I felt like I was going to faint. I was hoping that at the end of the day, my dad would be able to pick me up. However, he called in the afternoon to say that he is going to the doctor's and going home to rest!! I had to make my own way to my grandparent's house...Drank a bit of soup and then sat down to tuition my cousin for a while. But, really couldn't take it. My aunt and uncle sent me home with bro, who didn't go tuition coz he felt sick... I slept from 830pm all the way till 830 this morning when I woke up to call office and Aifung.

Actually, I would rather be at work than being at home. There are so many things to do at work and time passes real quickly! There are fun people at office! And there's money! hehe! I wonder what I am going to do after I quit...
But being at home is good too! I can be online, watch my shows, listen to music, chat online! Mum, Dad and I were watching i DVD disc of Spring Waltz (K-dram) just now! It's a nice and refined show about a pianist and his childhood girlfriend. Very touching! Only at disc 2, but I think it's a show worth watching! It's by the same director of Winter Sonata, as what my mum told me...

Wei and Shaz! You should watch! There's the guy who acted in Samsoon as the doctor! But it's not on youtube...

Yesterday was a day of competitions.

MJ vs RJ in soccer and we drew 1-1. I wanted to watch!! And I can't make it on Fri for MJ vs NJ! I miss the soccer fever in school...

And there was also MJChoir vs other JC choirs in SYF! And we won the GOLD award! Congrats and well done Juniors!! You have done MJChoir proud! Jia you for concert yeah! And if you people don't know yet, I would be performing in La Risonanza 4 with the choir alumni. Details as follows:

Oh wells, Mon was Angeline's last day at Ricoh and we went out in the night to Bugis! I got my mother's day present and my earrings~ And we finally took Neoprint! I would post it up when I get the pictures in order. Yesterday though work was fun but it felt dfferent without her and Aifung. Missing her lots! But we would still meet up for our favourite Subway and cookies! And Bugis shopping! =)

My laptop is heating up...Or is it me?

Met Ziwei and SJ at CDC on Mon! They are my new found kakis at CDC! And if I saw correctly, I think I saw ili after my lesson! But I was still in the car so couldn't call out to her!

Anyways, i got CI, as usual...And our relationship is becoming really kinda love-hate! I hate him to the core for his super big ego but yet like the way he teaches. If you read Sarah's blog about being rebellious, I think I am one of those students. I am becoming quite rebellious when CI teaches now. But that's coz it's really very stressful! I cleared all the sections already, just practicing to do my evaluation.

Just when the lesson started, CI cleared me for my // parking.

CI: Aiyo...This one can clear already le lah. Taught you for so long already...
Me: Yah...About 1 month, 4 lessons. =)

Then we went to do // parking. Oh no...I didn't pass the 1st try. Forgot how to do and forgot how many rounds to turn! So much for clearing me. And he didn't want to help me! Oh well, I cannot be too reliant on him!

And then we saw this tester standing outside of the car watching a testee do his // parking! Super stressful! It's a good chance to have lesson on days with test cars because you are able to see what the testers would do to the testees and can prepare. And so, CI followed suit and made me do // parking on my own!! He stood outside, timing me as I did my // parking. I got in quite ok. Then I tried to straighten my car. Oh no! The more I tried to straighten, the worse it got. I was crying out for help! But CI refused to help! He kept stressing...5 mins is going to be up! And you are not done!! Hurry up!

I hated that...got very pissed. And he got into the car saying, "Actually you did very well! But you don't know how to straighten the car! And made it all worse!"

Yah...I know...

I was already "throwing tentrums" and told him I don't want want to learn and don't want to play already! But he told me cannot. He was going to make me love it until I dream about it. urgh...

It was too much/many of a lot of things...

Going forward at exits TOO MUCH.
Turning TOO MANY rounds.
TOO MANY mistakes.
TOO MANY complaints.
TOO MANY cars (especially test cars).
TOO MUCH stress!

I just had too much to handle...

I really wonder how I am going to take my test.

CI scolded me a lot that day because I was making TOO MANY mistakes. And he was quite angry. But when we were queuing up to do vertical parking, he took my book, looked at me and started smiling...

CI: Xiao Jie...Why do you look so stressed? Cheer up!
Me: (looked at him and pouted)
CI: Eh...Bu yao zhe yang leh (don't like that la)..you make me feel so bad. Bu yao qi wo lah! (Don't be angry with me.)
Me: Mei you lah (Not lah)...Wo bu qi ni, zhi qi wo zi ji(i am not angry with you, just angry with myself)...
CI: Sha gua! (Silly girl) No need to be angry with yourself lah...Practice makes perfect! *Smiles*
Me: Ni xiao shen me? (Why are you smiling?)
CI: Don't need to be stressed because we still have a lot of time! July!! Still got time! Bu yao qi le lah (don't be angry)...Sorry ok!

I didn't reply him because I started to do my vertical parking...

Then when I was driving at one area, looking for a lot of do // parking...

CI: Keep left (whispers)
Me: (NO reaction).
CI: Eh! I said keep left! (Whispers)
Me: Did you say something?
CI: keep left (A bit louder)
Me: Orh..You said so softly. I couldn't hear.
CI: OK! KEEP LEFT! CAN HEAR? (Shouting)
Me: Yah yah! Can hear! Don't need to shout!
CI: Wah! Xiao Jie! Ni hen nan ci hou de! (you are so hard to please!)
Me: Aiyo...you talked so softly i the beginning how to hear?!
CI: orh...ok ok...my fault..my fault...sorry lah!!

And he started laughing...well, anything goes as long as he is happy...

The last quarter of the lesson was fun! Or rather he wasn't angry but very chatty. He was super hyper. He kept telling me to move faster, beat the light, chiong before the on coming vehicle could pass me! He was making me do the impossibles!! And when I wanted to do all that, he had to stress me till I stalled the car. And i couldn't. Again, I scolded him and he said sorry...The world is changing. Teachers have to give in to the students! :) Still, he made me do all that.

I was at gear 1 the whole lesson! I think I only changed up the gear 2 a few times! And he didn't let me go out of the circuit as a punishment for not doing my circuit properly. I passed slope, s and crank courses. But failed parkings. So, he didn't let me go out!! Argh! I miss driving outside, going at 40km/h. And missing Temasek Poly that area where I go up to 50+km/h!!

Ok... Much as I am hating him for forcing me and stressing me out, I am still going to endure it. I want my license! 61 more days!!

My brother just pissed me...He rather have his senior over to teach him maths than let me teach him. Well, I think he just wants his friend to come over since mum refused to let him go to the library to "study". I really wonder how much "studying" he does! But he didn't have to say that what I taught him the last time was all wrong! If he wrote messily and all and didn't write the answer properly, that's his problem. But I didn't teach him wrongly! *humphs!* I shall not teach him anymore!

Well, I am glad that at least my cousins let me tuition them. I don't care if my brother doesn't want me to! Not that I have the time to!!! *bleagh!*

And I just found out that my friend only put in one choice for uni application which is just Nanyang Biz school! Oh wells...it's his choice. But, it's really too much of a risk. Besides his grades aren't very good either. Maybe he already made up his mind. It's either that or nothing, and sign on with the army...I don't know. We are drifting apart...

On a lighter note...I have driving tmr~ Woots~~ And did I say?! He is not going New Zealand in June already!! Yeah!! He said coz there were too many students taking test..So, rather not go. Well, he is staying for partly my sake! =) Let me just be happy =)

But, I realised that since there are many people taking test, I may not get him for that 2 wks anyway because he maybe assigned to teach other of his students...Well, at least he is around when I take my test! >.<

I got to work really early today at 820am! And I had time to read Aifung's i-weekly that she lent to me yesterday! Thanks to daddy for sending me to work! (He had a 9am meeting to rush to! And office was on the way!)

Work was a bit tiring today, staring at the computer screen the whole morning and checking so many things. But it was fun! Especially when the people around were crapping non-stop. Aifung and I went to da bao yong tau fu from opposite coz we didn't want to go out far far away when it was raining and thundering and lightning...And we tempted like a gazillion people with the smell! Like Adrian...haha! And all he ate were chocolate chip cookies...aww...

A IT-sales help person gave Aifung and me chocolates! And I realised what I ate only after I ate it...Tequila dark chocolate!! Bitter!!

We had curry puff for tea coz one of the saleswoman bought! Munch away~~

And I went over to ahma house to tuition the boys. It was just 1.5 hours! Ok..it wasn't very bad. It's just that tuitioning 3 boys that are hyper active is really not easy. But I was glad that they kept to their seats!

The boys came back form golf at 7pm and they ate dinner, bathed...before tuition, all of them were running to me (in their stinking golf tees) to tell me how their composition went today. And what papers they were going to have when etc...We did maths! Primary school maths but a lot of thinking to be done! I was drained by the time we ended at 9pm! (Maybe the tequila dark chocolate was having some effect on me! Haha!)

Oh yah! How could I forget?

I got the letter from Nanyang Business school and their package is really small! There's like 1/4 the number of pages that NUS sent to me! And if the question of whether I am going for NBS instead is in your mind, my answer is no. I am still sticking to NUS. Even though NBS is offering 3 years direct honours etc...NUS is still where I want to go...Choir, hostel life in KR, and friends in NUS!

To my friends, wait patiently. Yours would come soon! :)

I just realised I didn't blog about yesterday!

Driving yesterday!!

I met Ziwei and Sarah at the CDC! And I am glad that they hit it off well! Well, quite alright...Hehe!

I was at CDC at 750am coz daddy had to rush to work! And I didn't want to take bus, so he let me off at CDC. I was there even before it opened!

ZW and SJ came...we chatted a while and then went off to find our cars. My car shifted! And I couldn't find it at the usual spot! I was pacing up and down that area with my umbrella until another instructor came to ask me which car. And he told me they shifted to just behind the building! So paiseh lah!

but I was the first car to move out of the area because CI already knew what he was going to teach me. VERTICAL PARKING! Woots~~ Finally! And it's super easy! He taught by showing me how to do. But we went to do // first! So, when we came back to vertical, I couldn't really remember much.

// was good! And he said very good so many times!! And then we went to do vertical parking. I got it on the first few times and he said, "You know why so easy? Because I broke the rules to teach you // first. And // is harder loh!" Well, that's true. And I am thankful that he broke the rules! I probably would be stressing out for vertical first then stressing out even more for //! But now, I only stress out for //! I am beginning to love // too!!

But the more I did, the worse things became. We did // p, vertical p, s and crank course! That was all we did the whole day! I didn't even go out on test route! It was raining and CI was tired also lah...That's the problem with having him early in the morning. AND especially when it's raining!! He kept yawning and giving wrong instructions! I was like worried rather than pissed. So, I didn't request to go out...

Thus, i had a whole lesson on circuit training and polishing up parking! Towards the end, my left leg cramped. And I couldn't feel the clutch, until the car stalled when I was doing // parking. 100 mins with left leg on the clutch and not a single time I let it go! Do you think your leg won't cramp? I didn't even go to gear 2~~ Lesson was great overall! :)

Went to Eunos MRT station that hawker center there to have brunch with Ziwei and SJ! Our conversation was just on driving! Well, 99% of it! Hehe! It was really fun chatting with them over it! And i am so glad that I got to introduce a Weird to a KXFZ =)

The 9 o'clock show on channel 8 "Mars Vs Venus" is one very crappy show! It's so hilarious! But it really depicts the happenings around the home. My mum and dad are at logger heads when it comes to the house and whatever small details. However, they always make up after that. I think the show is really true...

As usual, Sarah and I are chatting online now. As well as with Di! Well, we aren't talking about driving! Haha! Just planning our next outing! Sentosa~~ I hope we get around to going there! =)

I had a great day out today!

First was meeting the choir alumni peeps at Eunos MRT station and then walking to Xiang Rong's house! I think it's a nice and cool place to meet and practice! With piano and a comfy area... AND a CUTE dog!! Well, we had lots of fun! And we made quite a lot of bimbotic mistakes but it's alright! We had fun!!

But it was a pity that I had to leave early! I love hanging around with the alumni! =)

I went to Bugis to meet Weirdz at about 130pm! I was so smart to walk from Xiang Rong's house to the MRT station alone kk! It was such a way to walk!

Anyways, I had a great time at the arcade with Weirdz - LC (She overslept...as usual). SJ and I went on a datona spree! We spent $4 each on 2 datona games! This game rawks because the car simualates what happens like the bangs and crashes! (But not the overturns of the car...) And we changed player now and then during the race as in while SJ drove, I didn't. The game seemed quite long! And we played that 2 times! It was so exciting! And according to Di, Shaz and Az who were bystanders, said that SJ and I screamed a lot throughout the ride! Well, it can't be helped when it was so exciting!

After the 2 exhilarating games, we, well, Shaz and SJ rather, went on the play Time Crisis! This is one game that I can't play...I can't aim for nuts! And so, just watching them play was good enough!

We are going there again SJ! And going for that datona one~ I can play with no one except you! =)

We met dear LC after that and went to take neoprints!! We settled poses and all that for such a long time but the poses all weren't used coz the photo taking session was so fast that we had no time to get into positions! It didn't turn out too bad! =) Just that it would have been better if we could have read Jap and selected the right modes...

Swensens was next up on our list! ICE CREAM! Lots of CHOCOLATE! i had a Coit Tower! Which was hmmm....Relaxing... And I had a bit of Di's Chocolate Crunch. She and Shaz always order those with so much chocolate!! ;)

It was a great day out with the girls! And so many things to say...But it was nice to just meet for 3 hours! At least...
